John Jowitt and Jonathon Jowett are both entered in the men's epee. Should be nice and confusing if we end up in the same poule or DE...

And courtesy of lots of U15 foilists going to Paris I won't be there making your bacon butties. I am sure Rochelle with her amazing persuasive powers will have roped someone else in by now. Be nice to them

Sorry Danum, but you are contractually obligated to feed me bacon butties at the Slough. Tradition and practice has made this part of the terms and conditions. Baldric will just have to find someone else for Paris.

The computer at Essex a couple of years ago put me in the same poule as the son and heir (same name). Fortunately, there was a re-draw and we were separated....

I think they may have calculated off January rankings rather than September - off the latter I reckon it's around 46

Thanks for alerting me to this. The NIFs were actually calculated using the September 09 rankings however, an error on the calculation on the spreadsheet meant that it did not include all of the fencers who have entered in the last week.

The NIF for the ME is 46 and I will recheck all of the NIFs for the other weapons and update the website later this evening.

Default Thank you....

....to all the organisers for another very enjoyable event.

Well done Mr Perry on clinching the Cup in a cracking final against Mr Nicholls.

Special thanks to Graham though for taking the time long after everyone headed off to work on me so I was at least mobile enough to make it home.

As usual a very friendly event, but on Saturday Eds finished his poule at about 11.10 and had a bye to the L64. His fight then started at 3pm. That delay, caused by too many DE fights on each piste, was far too long and need to be addressed for next year.

I could literally have driven back home to Nottingham, had a leisurely cup of coffee and driven back to the venue in the gap between the end of the poule and the DE fight.

I suppose I noticed it more as I was watching the clock needing to leave the venue to catch a flight.

Many thanks for this. May we look forward to the tableaux as in previous years?
