Semiconductor Solution Developer Omnivision announced two partnerships. One is partnerships with waveguide technology providers. DigiLens Co., Ltd. one with an in-vehicle camera video processor manufacturer GEO Semiconductor — Signed MOU with automotive connectivity company Aviva Links Co., Ltd. OMNIVISION aims to use DigiLens to develop Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (AR/VR/XR) products for new markets and applications. The company’s partnership with GEO Semiconductor targets RGB-IR solutions for automotive cabin surveillance systems. In the demonstration, OMNIVISION combines the OX05B1S 5 megapixel (MP) RGB-IR image sensor with his GW6 intelligent camera processor from GEO Semiconductor. Pursuant to OMNIVISION’s MOU with AVIVA Links, the two companies will jointly develop a camera system based on Automotive SerDes Alliance specifications.
lidar technology company banishment Signed a strategic customer agreement with an autonomous driving software company ShinThe deal adds Ouster’s REV7 digital lidar sensor to the Cyngn DriveMod platform. DriveMod is an all-in-one autonomous integration package that can transform a standard industrial vehicle into a fully autonomous vehicle by utilizing advanced lidar sensors, hardware components and artificial intelligence (AI) software. DriveMod packages can be installed in new vehicles off the assembly line or retrofitted to existing vehicles.
Photonic Crystal Co., Ltd. exhibited what is reported to be the world’s first transmissive projection TV using NanoAR material. NanoAR is a proprietary nano-optical material that allows ambient light to pass through while selectively controlling the light from the projector. This technology enables full-color, high-definition displays where the image overlaps the surrounding landscape. Applications include digital signage, automotive smart cockpits, AR head-up displays (AR-HUD), and AR. The technology is expected to appear in transparent sunroof display applications in the third quarter of 2023.
holo industry announced holographic touch technology that provides responsive mid-air interactions without the need for special lighting, glasses or headgear. Holo Industries’ product line has expanded to include a host of new formats, from 100mm door entry systems to kiosks with life-size holographic avatars.
