Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mekor Hardman was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hardman was unable to practice all week due to an abdominal injury.
In the Chiefs’ final two games, Hardman had a lot of action on Kansas City’s offense. The 24-year-old wideout scored a total of three touchdowns (two rushing and one receiving) before the team’s Week 8 bye. Last weekend, he tallied his 79 yards and a touchdown on his six catches.
Luckily for the Chiefs, the team recently added Kadarius Tony as a wide receiver option. The former Giant saw little action in the first game last weekend, where he secured only two catches for 12 yards. But with Hardman out and another week with the Kansas City playbook under his belt, he should have more loads on Sunday.
JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are also responsible for the increased wide receiver workload.
Sunday’s game kicks off at 1pm ET in Jacksonville.
