The love is never lost between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers. But with the final game of the regular season set to be the playoff eliminator for both teams, his one star for the Lions said Aaron wanted to reveal to Rodgers how he feels about him. I think.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Lions safety DeShon Elliott cautioned Rodgers for not showing respect to the team in years. He said Rodgers spoke about the Lions in a way that misled him and the team.
“This means a lot because it feels like they don’t respect us,” Elliot said on ProFootballTalk on Friday.[Rodgers] don’t respect us That team doesn’t respect us. We must not be weak, no matter what the record says. Get out there and I think we’re going to fight off our ass and play smashmouth football.
“We all got here in one way or another. Yeah, he’s in the Hall of Fame, but I think he’s been talking about my guys all year and how the team looks at us.” So we’re going to go out there and prove something. ”
The Lions beat the Packers earlier this year, but after the game, Rodgers delved into the Lions and hinted that his team was too strong to lose to a team like them.
But since that loss, the Packers have been in tears, winning five of their last seven games, including their final four.
Everything will be ready for the team this Sunday. Detroit hasn’t swept the Packers since 2018.
Will this year put an end to that trend?
