One of the Kansas City Chiefs players received an unexpected email to the NFL League Office this weekend.
According to NFL Media Tom Pelissero, KC defensive lineman Karlen Sanders was reportedly fined $6,632 for trolling Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in a divisional round game last Saturday. Although the flag was not thrown.
The NFL world reacted to the news on social media.
“Not in vain, but it should have been called and could have changed the outcome,” Fan replied.
“So, penalties that could affect the game are not called and fined instead…I think there’s a pattern…” said another.
“Lol. Just kidding,” the user laughed.
“If you fine a player for a play that should have been flagged, do you fine the referee who missed the penalty?” asked another.
“No flags waving… just imagine.”
“Miles Jack wasn’t down this season,” tweeted a Jaggs fan.
The Chiefs will face the Bengals at Arrowhead tomorrow at 6:30 PM ET.
