The 2023 SHRMLabs Better Workplaces Challenge Cup (BWCC) competition will feature a new track for SHRM members to present their innovative HR solutions.
SHRMLabs is the workplace innovation hub and venture capital arm of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Now in its third year, the competition aims to bridge the gap between companies developing workplace technology and the end users of their products, HR professionals and their employees.
Applications for the BWCC Member Track will open on January 2, 2023 and close on February 19, 2023.
This track recognizes individual SHRM members who develop innovative HR solutions or process changes that align with SHRMLabs’ mission to address pressing challenges in the workplace. A public vote will be held on the participants competing on the track, and each presentation will be judged by a panel of judges who are top leaders in the HR industry. Judges will evaluate contestants based on strategy, influence, popularity and relevance in HR.

To qualify, members must be early to mid-career, have at least 3 years of professional experience, have at least 2 years of HR experience, and have the confidence to share company size and innovative ideas. there is.
Each member should also have a SHRMLabs WorkplaceTech Community profile, a platform for HR professionals to learn, network, and share best practices. Each entrant will compete for her 1 of 10 finalist spots. The winning member will attend her SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2023 in Las Vegas in June.
General BWCC Competitor
The general BWCC application period is now open until January 15, 2023. Early-stage companies in the HR technology, future jobs, or human capital services markets should be able to communicate their business model and demonstrate metrics for traction, engagement, and adoption when applying. Each entrant has the opportunity to secure her 1 of 50 spots and enter the competition by competing in front of her panel of seasoned HR judges. There will be three rounds of global competition culminating in the finale at the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2023.
Finalists consist of airfare and hotel accommodation for two company representatives to the conference, free booth space on the exhibition hall floor, and contact with over 300,000 HR and business executive members from 165 countries , receive a trip with all expenses paid.
The winner, whose name will be announced at the conference, will also receive a prize of $50,000.
