Prayagraj: recognized many benefits and medicinal properties of wooden slippers, commonly known as Kadau, designer and medicinal marketer Kadau Featured among devotees and visitors in the ongoing Magh Mela. Stores selling designer Kadau are doing brisk business, with the exception of Karpwasis, seers and saints. The wearing of the Kadau was thought to aid in the pursuit of the path of spiritualism and devotion, so it was primarily seen wearing the “Kadau” by seers and saints, but its medicinal and healing properties value has found more enthusiasts in the ongoing Magmera.
Pithadhishwar swami Brahmashram Maharaj, National Chairman of Akhil Bharatiya Dandi Sanyasi Parishad said: Khadau is made from wood from a variety of trees including: Vijaysarduck and Sheesham”
Maharaj further added, “A popular form of kadaw is the acupressure kadaw, which is specifically designed for the treatment of foot-related medical conditions and overall health benefits.” Kadau features exquisitely detailed foot acupoints, ensuring many health benefits and pain relief. Today, Kadau are still placed in many prominent temples to represent deities. Even in the Ramayana, Lord Ram’s brother Bharat himself never took the throne. He went to recall the exiled Lord Ram, but when he refused, he brought his Kadaw and put him on the throne,” Maharaj added.
